• Welcome to the new North Tahoe High School website! We appreciate your patience as we work to update our new site.

NTHS has a lot to be proud of and offers a phenomenal educational experience for our students. Recently, we were honored with California's Title 1 Academic Achievement Award. We were also awarded a six-year accreditation period from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). NTHS also has a highly acclaimed band program including the popular jazz band, the fastest boys Nordic ski team in the U.S., a successful partnership between NTHS’s culinary academy and local restaurants, and an expanded Ski/Independent Study Academy. The academy offers customized study programs for students involved in sports/artistic pursuits who need a flexible schedule but want a comprehensive high school experience.

  • Dear Parents and Guardians,

In light of the unprecedented number of snow days we have experienced this early into the winter season and our desire to make up instructional time for our students, the district is proposing making changes to the current 2016-2017 school calendar.

We’d like to hear your input on these changes and what would work best for your family before the proposal goes before our Board of Education. We have a special board meeting scheduled on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 4:30 p.m. at the District Office where the board will consider this proposal.

  • Late Start Schedule

TTUSD will consider using late starts this year when weather conditions are unsafe in the morning, but there are indications that conditions will improve rapidly.  Late starts do not require that time be made up as is required with snow days.  If a late start is called, all bus stop pick-up times will be two hours later and school will start two hours later (at 9:30 am). Click here to see the Late Start Schedule.
