Stacey Luna

Stacey Luna started her teaching career in the Tahoe area in 2007. Most of her years teaching have been in the lower elementary levels. She graduated from California State Northridge with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Child Development. While working on her bachelor’s degree, Stacey studied abroad in Italy for a semester, learning the language, studying Art History, and found her love for traveling! After receiving her BA, Stacey wanted to see more of the world before starting her teaching career. She lived in New Zealand for a year, and traveled to a few other countries before returning home to start the teaching program at Sierra Nevada College. Upon graduating in 2009, Stacey started substituting, both long and short term, in the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District. She has also taught 2nd grade intervention at Kings Beach Elementary as well as 2nd Grade and 3-5 Grade Language Arts at a local private school. Stacey took a semester long substitute job teaching Kindergarten at Tahoe Lake Elementary in 2015 and taught Kindergarten Summer Scholars in the summer of 2015. This will be her fifth year teaching Kindergarten at Glenshire Elementary.
