  • Children can lose up to two months of essential math and reading skills during the summer months but there is plenty of families and caregivers can do to support learning during the summer.

We encourage you to create or find quality summer learning opportunities so your child doesn’t lose hard-earned skills from the prior school year. We have created a comprehensive reading list to give you some ideas for your children. Also, be sure to check out the National Summer Learning Association's website with more resources on reading and summer learning!
