Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Kyle Mohagen
Kings Beach Elementary School is a very special place, and I want to take a moment to share the things I love about being the principal.
First and foremost, I love our students; each and every one of them is unique and a delight to be around. I love working with students in their classroom, talking with them at lunch, and playing at recess. Through my interactions, I get updated on ski races, dance competitions, football, baseball, soccer games, rock climbing competitions, sleepovers, family vacations, and which movies are worth seeing. Kings Beach Elementary would not be successful without its tremendous teaching staff. I love the teachers at Kings Beach. You will not find more dedicated, passionate, hardworking individuals anywhere else. The support staff at KBE loves coming to work and enriching the positive environment of the school. They all care deeply about our students and provide the opportunity for every child to make a meaningful connection with an adult. Parents of Kings Beach students are incredibly caring and supportive. I love being on the playground before school and having conversations with parents. Our parent network is immense and provides valuable assistance to the school. Our parents provide countless hours of volunteer time, fundraising efforts to provide the most up to date materials for classrooms, and a support system that extends beyond school.
While we as a school provide an awesome education for our students, we cannot do everything. This is why I love our community partners. Our partnerships with SWEP, The Boys and Girls Club, The Family Resource Center, The Kidzone, Tahoe Safe Alliance, and Arts for the Schools provide our students with academic and social-emotional enrichment opportunities that help each of our students’ develop as a whole child.
I am incredibly lucky to be the principal at Kings Beach Elementary School and to be able to come to a job that I love and share every day with people that make my life better.
