State Standards

  • The TTUSD has implemented the new State Standards which are a coherent progression of learning expectations in English Language Arts and Mathematics designed to prepare K-12 students for college and career success. The State Standards are designed to be robust and relevant to the real world, reflecting the knowledge and skills that our young scholars need for success in college and careers. They were developed by higher-education experts and industry professionals to gain perspective of what skills 21st-century students need when they graduate high school to be successful. The State Standards were developed using national and international research, higher-education evidence, and standards. They have been adopted by 46 U.S. States.

Our teachers are excited to implement new Common Core curriculum, which will allow more in-depth study of fewer subjects at each grade level. The Standards also increase critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and writing as well as real-world modeling and practice work presentations.
