Accelerated Learning Programs & Services

Tahoe Truckee Unified School District strives to meet the needs of all our students. Accelerated Learning Programs and Services provides a tiered system of support for gifted and high-achieving students that fosters their continuous academic progress and healthy social and emotional development.
Tier 1: Effective first instruction and differentiation in the regular classroom.
Tier 2: More targeted or specialized instruction such as the GATE classes, middle school advanced math pathways, honors classes, and High School Advanced Placement (AP) classes.
Tier 3: Intensive intervention like subject-specific grade level acceleration or full grade level acceleration or social/ emotional support with a Personal Learning Plan.
