Mrs. Joni Adomshick
Mrs. Adomshcick graduated from the University of Redlands with an M.S. in Speech and Language Pathology in 1981. Upon graduation, she moved to Fillmore, California and taught a Special Day Class for Communicatively Handicapped students in grades 4-7 for seven years. During this period, she attended Cal State Northridge and was working on a Master's Degree in Hospital Administration. From 1988-1991, she was employed as the Director of Educator at Charter Hospital in Westlake Village, California. She relocated to Truckee in 1991. After staying at home with her son, Alek, she returned to work at Glenshire Elementary School in 1997 and taught a K-5 Special Day Class for children with emotional and behavioral difficulties. She has been at Alder Creek Middle School since 2004, working as a Resource Specialist in 6th grade. Mrs. A loves her job, particularly her students, and always enjoys the challenge of getting to know a new group of students each year, determining students' individual needs, and finding ways to assist them in learning. Her passions outside of school include cooking, traveling and going to plays. She is married and enjoys spending time with her two children, Alek and Erin.
