Participation in Athletics Criteria
To be eligible to participate in athletics, each student must: (1) Maintain good citizenship by following school rules, (2) Maintain a 2.0 grade point average (initial grade eligibility is based upon the last office grade). (3) Not receive 1’s in any class.
ATHLETIC SELECTION PROCESS
Alder Creek Middle School is proud to offer nine different team sport programs. They are:
- Cross Country Running
- Girls basketball
- Boys soccer
- Boys basketball
- Girls volleyball
- Cross Country skiing (Nordic)
- Wrestling
- Track & Field
- Girls soccer
The following sports have an open enrollment policy. That is, any student that wants to participate can, if healthy, participate. They are: ● Track & Field Each sport is available for all students in grade 6, 7 and 8. They are: ● Cross country ● Wrestling ● Cross country skiing ● Track & Field For basketball and volleyball, students try out for the specific team. Should there be more students than available slots, criteria are used by each coach.
