School Accountability Report Cards

California School Accountability Report Cards (SARCs)

What are SARCs?

California requires every public school to publish an annual SARC. These reports provide parents and the community with valuable information about each school, including:

  • Demographics (student body makeup)

  • School safety and climate

  • Academic performance data

  • Graduation rates

  • Class sizes

  • Teacher qualifications

  • Curriculum details

  • College preparation information

  • School finances

How to Use SARCs:

  • Learn about your child's school: Get details on its mission, goals, and achievements.

  • Compare schools: See how different schools perform on various indicators.

  • Hold schools accountable: Track a school's progress towards its goals.
