Safety Data Sheet (SDS)
**Introduction**
To ensure your safety, as well as the safety of your colleagues and students, always read the label and the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before using, handling, transporting, cleaning up, or disposing of any chemical. An SDS, previously known as a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), provides crucial information about a chemical, including but not limited to:
- Supplier's contact information
- Health hazards associated with the chemical
- First-aid instructions
- Firefighting procedures
- Measures for accidental release
- Guidelines for handling, storage, transport, and disposal
- Required personal protective equipment (PPE)
