STEPP Programs
STEPP (Sierra Teen Education Parenting Program) provides a developmentally appropriate learning environment for children ages birth to three years in an atmosphere where individual interests and developmental levels are respected and celebrated. Our purpose is to create a community of caring for the whole family by providing quality child care in a safe and nurturing environment, and providing parent education and family support services while parents pursue their career and/or educational goals.
The transitional component of our program serves student parents who have graduated high school and their children who are age-eligible for our program. We also serve community members who meet income eligibility requirements.
The STEPP program has an infant/toddler component. Our infant room, STEPP, serves children zero to 18 months and our toddler room, Next STEPP, serves 18-36 months of age.
We are located on the Sierra High School campus. We offer a full five-day program Monday-Friday for eligible families.
Before your child begins the STEPP program, the following documents must be submitted to determine eligibility:
- Completed Enrollment
- Birth Certificate
- Immunization Records (up-to-date)
- Gross monthly income for the prior month (example: one month’s pay stubs, or other sources of income)
- Physician’s Report (physical exam)
Once eligibility is verified, our team will contact you to finalize enrollment
