Mrs. Meg Lally
Meg Lally is originally from Marin County, north of San Francisco, but she started her teaching career in New Orleans, Louisiana in 2004. Meg taught upper elementary and middle school reading and writing, and was a literacy coach and an academic dean in New Orleans for thirteen years before moving to Tahoe/Truckee in 2017. Meg has a passion for helping students find books they love and for empowering students with foundational reading, writing and thinking skills. Meg also intertwines social justice and current events into her literacy classes and believes in the power of our young people to change the world. When she is not teaching, Meg loves spending time at the lake with her husband, hiking, camping, and costuming (a skill she honed in New Orleans). Meg and her husband are very excited to be expecting their first child in the spring of 2020.
