Rachel Falk

Rachel moved to North Lake Tahoe from Southern California in 1988, with the intention of staying for one year, while her husband worked on his Ph.D. They were married on the Woodwind in Zephyr Cove, fell in love with the area and never left.   Rachel started teaching and counseling, in 1999, for the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District. She began her counseling career at Sierra Mountain Middle School, then transitioned to Alder Creek once its construction was completed.  From there she transferred to Truckee High, then followed by her present job assignment at Glenshire Elementary School. She loves students of all ages!  Rachel participates on TT-FWDD (Tahoe Truckee Future without Drug Dependence) representing the school sector, and is active in the teacher union, both at the local and state level.  She loves kayaking on Donner Lake, reading ANYTHING, traveling, and spending time with her husband of thirty years, four grown daughters, and their dog, a Swedish Vallhound named Lilly.
