5th Grade Teacher

I grew up in a tiny town a few hours from Truckee, where my parents were teachers at an environmental education school. I have been involved in the education world ever since.  I received my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and Masters Degree in Education from UC Santa Barbara. After graduation, I spent three years in Monteverde, Costa Rica, teaching 4th grade at the Centro de Educación Creativa, a small bilingual school focused on environmental education and experiential learning.  For the past 9 years, I taught 4th and 5th grades in Menlo Park. I am looking forward to joining the 5th grade team here at Truckee Elementary! 

In my spare time I love traveling, running, paddle boarding, yoga, skiing, and hiking with my golden retriever.  I am thrilled to call this beautiful place my new home.
