Marco Mora

School Counselor

I've worked with children of all ages ranging from kindergarten to high school for 21 years. I began my career in 1998 as a tutor and mentor for inner city at-risk kids for the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Youth Foundation. I received my B.A. degree in behavioral Science with a minor in Criminal Justice from Cal Poly Pamona, and M.A. in School Counseling with a Pupil Personnel Services Credential from Loyola Marymount University. Past experience includes being co-director for the Tahoe Truckee Aim High program, serving on the board for Learning Bridge of the Sierra, and a mentor for WHMB. I started my counseling career with the Los Angeles Unified School District in 2007 and I now have the pleasure of working for the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District as a school counselor. I have supported students at North Tahoe Middle School and High School, and currently at Truckee Elementary.  In addition to counseling, I also serve on the Board of Gateway Mountain Center.

When I'm not busy with work, you can find me at the local plant nursery. I also love doing anything outdoors with my dog Dozer and going on off-roading adventures!
