Mr. Edward Hilton
Principal
Teaching Education and History:
Mr. Hilton earned a BA in Liberal Studies, from Simpson University in Redding, CA. He earned a Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary while completing the Teacher Preparation Program at Princeton University. Mr. Hilton moved to Truckee in 2005 and began teaching Math and Science at Alder Creek Middle School. In 2009 he began teaching Math to 8-12 grade students at Sierra High School in Truckee while earning his Administrative Credential. In 2013 he became a technology coach assisting teachers in using technology in the classroom. In 2014 Mr. Hilton became the first director of the newly created technology department for TTUSD and became the principal of Donner Trail in 2021.
Teaching Passion:
Mr. Hilton loves learning. As a career educator he has come to know that it is important to live each day as a lifelong learner. Mr. Hilton loves working with colleagues to ask questions, solve problems, and explore limitless possibilities for our students. He supports students as they grow to be more collaborative and creative in their pursuits is essential as they mature in a connected, global community.
Outside Interests:
Technology, hiking, mountain biking, philosophy, and music (Mr. Hilton plays guitar and sings in a church choir)

End homelessness and hunger in our world

Mr. Hilton is a pilot and is rebuilding a '66 VW Beetle
