1st Grade Teacher

Hello, my name is Ashley Perkins and I am thrilled to be teaching first grade at Truckee Elementary!  This is my tenth year teaching at TTUSD.  I am committed to supporting students academically, socially, and emotionally.  I love to watch students grow as readers, mathematicians, scientists and members of their community.  

I graduated from Green Mountain College in Vermont earning a BS in Elementary Education with a Special Education Endorsement.  I earned an M.Ed from Sierra Nevada College in Teaching and Leadership with a specialization in English as a Second Language.  I completed a second M.Ed program in School Administration in 2018.

I have twin four-year-old daughters and I enjoy being with them and my family while playing and relaxing together.  Aside from working with your remarkable children, my other passions include spending time skiing, traveling, rafting, and working on projects at home.
