Hi, my name is Britne Fertitta and I am SO excited to be teaching 4th grade at TES this year! I moved to Truckee in 5th Grade and graduated from Truckee High School. For college, I went to the University of San Diego and was fortunate enough to teach 4 years there. For the past 12 years, I have been teaching at Kings Beach Elementary in the Spanish Immersion Program. My husband, Nik, teaches at THS and my son Lukas will be attending his 9th grade year there as well. My daughter Laken is going to be starting her first year at TES for 3rd grade. We are fortunate to live in Truckee and be involved in the community. My passions are walking my dog Moose by the river, hiking, playing soccer, paddle boarding, swimming and most everything outdoors. As a teacher, I hope to instill perseverance in "YET", empower self- confidence, build social- emotional intelligence, and encourage people learning multiple languages to communicate & connect with people. Children make me happy, they make me laugh, they make me proud and they fill my heart with love.
