UC Santa Cruz with a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology Teaching Credential from San Jose State

Mr. Brian Kehoe

Mr. Kehoe has been teaching since 1996 and since 2000 in Tahoe Truckee. Starting his career in Santa Rosa, California, he taught fifth and sixth grade before moving to Truckee in 2000, teaching 8th grade ELA and Social Studies.  In addition to classroom teaching, he was an Academic Coach for the district for three years. This experience added greatly to his knowledge and understanding of best teaching practices. He is currently teaching 6th grade, loving the energy and enthusiasm of his students. He is a Wisconsin native but grew up in Reno and Santa Rosa through high school. He graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology, which gave him foundations in history, mythology, and philosophy.  His graduate-level credential preparation certificate is from San Jose State University. When not teaching, he loves to ski (Nordic and alpine), bike (mountain and road), scuba dive in tropical locations, sup, camp, backpack, cook, play guitar, read, and enjoy his dog, Jake - the best golden retriever in the world!
