About Ms. Ernst:
Ms. Ernst is a Physical Education and Health teacher at North Tahoe High School. She attained her Degree in Physical Education, Health and Human Studies from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC, and has been teaching for 10 years with experience in Physical Education and Health from grades K-12. She is an avid mountain biker, climber, backcountry split boarder and all around outdoors person. Her goals as a physical educator are to not only provide opportunities and instruction on traditional fitness activities and sports, but also to expose kids to activities that are "outside the box." Team sports are irreplaceable in that they promote camaraderie, build relationships and provide important lessons on personal values, but there is so much more to experience in our mountain community. She loves to teach students about the fitness and recreation opportunities available in our surroundings. North Tahoe is a PE teacher's dream! Ms. Ernst also coaches the North Tahoe Mountain Biking Club and Snowboard Team, as well is the coordinator of NTHS's Athlete's Committed program.
