Mrs. Michelle Reed

Teaching Education and History:
Michelle Reed received her Bachelor of Arts from Hartwick College in Oneonta, New York. She majored in Anthropology and Sociology and minored in Environmental Education. She completed her teaching education at University of Nevada Reno.  She taught preschool in Oregon. Mrs. Reed moved to Truckee in 1986 and was a Assistant camp director for Camp Skylandia in Tahoe City and taught at the Tahoe City Parks and Recreation after school kindergarten program. She has been teaching in TTUSD since 1990.

Teaching Passion:
Mrs. Reed enjoys seeing her students’ excitement for learning. She knows that students mirror enthusiasm that their teacher demonstrates. Therefore, she likes being prepared with intriguing lessons.

Outside Interests:
Michelle Reed spends her free time running, paddle boarding, skiing, hiking, backpacking and going to concerts. If she could have a super power, she would teleport to see her daughter, Whitney, In Southern California and her son, Holden, in Montana.

If I could have a super power, it would be:
If she had a superpower, it would be to teleport to see her own children when they are far away!

What else I would like you to know:
Mrs. Reed loves the Donner Trail community. She believes it is a special learning environment that allows students to soar.
