Jean Fournier

Jean Fournier began her teaching career as a Special Education Aide at Berkeley High School and also taught at Charles Armstrong High School in Belmont, California.  She began teaching in the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District part time in the 1980’s and full-time in 1992. Jean taught 4-8 grade Special Education classes at Sierra Mountain Middle School, 4-5 grade at Rideout School, and 1-3 grade at Glenshire School. Beginning in the 2020-2021 school year, Mrs. Fournier will be Glenshire Elementary's Art Teacher. 

A long time Donner Summit resident, Jean taught skiing at Sugar Bowl, and with her husband completed 6,000 mile bicycle journey through 13 countries. They settled in Truckee to continue outdoor passions such as skiing and hiking, and to raise their son in a mountain town. Jean is an expressive artist and published poet.
