Ken Rae started his teaching career in Tahoe Truckee Unified School district in 2003. He has taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades, as well as ELD, and Art. He loves the working with the upper grades, watching the students become independent learners and thinkers.

After completing a Business degree at Chico State, Ken moved to Truckee in 1988, and spent 14 years working at Northstar At Tahoe. His first child, Amanda was born in 1999, followed by Nick in 2001. In 2001, Ken went back to school and earned his teaching credential and Masters in Education through National University.

In his spare time, Ken loves cycling, fishing, backpacking, and spending time with his family. Ken has also spent most of his life teaching and coaching swimming, which he considers his finest skill. Ken currently loves teaching 3rd Grade, a block from his home, at Glenshire Elementary School."
