Current position: 1st grade

Teaching History: I taught for 10 years in a bilingual public school in San Francisco - 2 years as a Reading Intervention Specialist and 8 years as a Kindergarten teacher. Prior to that, while in the Peace Corps, I taught for a couple years in multi-grades in a very small rural community outside of León, Nicaragua. 

Teaching Passion: I love working with children! I strive to create strong relationship and learning partnerships with my students and their families, so each child feels a part of a community where they can experience joy in learning and feels empowered to make positive change in the world around them. 

Outside Interests: I enjoy being outside - trail-running, climbing, skiing, biking, jumping off rocks into lakes, backpacking - and especially love it if I can share with my twin daughters. I also love cooking yummy food and reading good books. 

If I could have any super power it would be to spread compassion and understanding throughout the world.
