You’ve likely heard in the news that cases of COVID-19 are rising in our counties, our state, and across the county. While cases of COVID-19 exist, the case rate in our schools remains low. (Click here for TTUSD’s COVID Dashboard.)
On Tuesday, Placer County moved back to the red tier in the State’s “Blueprint for a Safer Economy” and there is a strong chance that Placer County could move to the purple tier in the next week or two.
What does this mean for TTUSD?
We can remain open as long as our case rates don’t rise within our schools.
An individual school site would close for distance learning if at 5%+ of the student body and staff are diagnosed with COVID-19 within a 14-day period.
Our school district will close if a quarter of its schools have been closed due to positive COVID-19 cases within two weeks.
