Governor Newsom issues Directive to stay home except for essential activities

The California State Public Health Officer and Director of the California Department of Public Health are ordering all individuals living in the State of California to stay home or at their place of residence. Read the full Executive Order here (pdf).

Earlier on Thursday, March 19, 2020, Placer County Health Officer Dr. Aimee Sisson issued a directive for residents to remain at home except to engage in “essential activities,” effective 12:01 a.m., March 20, 2020, in response to local and regional spread of COVID-19. Read the full statement on Placer County's webpage.
