Work Permits during the summer can be attained at the High School office. Students under the age of 18 must possess a valid work permit when employed. The application must be filled out by your current employer and signed by your parent or guardian before the work permit will be issued. Bring the completed application to the Registrar, Ms. Blanca-Elena Carrillo, for verification of requirements met. Ms. Carrillo will then issue you a separate work permit for each application. Please allow 24 hours for processing.
If work permits are issued in the summer, they expire after the first week of the new school year. You must apply for a new work permit every year even if you have maintained the same job.
Students may hold more than one job as long as the combined hours do not exceed the designated hours allowed for the student’s current age. A separate Work Permit must be obtained for each job.
STUDENT MUST BE PRESENT TO PICK UP AND SIGN THE WORK PERMIT.
Summer Work Permit Office Hours: Please come to the front high school office to see Ms. Carrillo Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for work permits.
